One of the most difficult guitar repair jobs—splinting a separated crack—is now easy, thanks to two new tools from designer Irving Sloane.
The Crack Repair Knife uniformly tapers the crack opening. Its bronze handle has a rectangular base which can be drawn against a straight edge, ensuring a straight cut for the length of the crack. The depth of the blade tip is adjustable, to maintain a uniform taper.
