This set of Active guitar pickups has a wide frequency respnse and no noise to provide a clean, hi-tech tone.
The specially designed 18 volt system is powered by (2) 9-volt batteries. With 18 volts you get much more dynamic range, a more open sound and more output. The top end has brilliance and sparkle, but it's not harsh. The mids have a solid punch and the low end is full and tight-even at loud volumes. The overall tone is a smooth, warm classic.
Each pickup is specially calibrated for its position, so pickup to pickup volume is balanced and they compensate for string excursion in their respective positions. The combination of the humbucker in the bridge position with Strat pickups in the neck and middle gives you tone versatility that is unmatched by any other combination.
This pickup is a direct replacement and requires no guitar modification. Wiring schematic and mounting screws are included.

Though it's an active pickup, it delivers very traditional, bell-like tone with Alnico 2 rod magnets. The highs are tempered for brilliance, without being harsh. The mids have solid punch. And the low end is ultra-tight. It's a very musical sound in all positions. This often-overlooked pickup is a great alternative to other hum-canceling vintage-voiced Strat® pickups.
