These machine heads with sealed and enclosed gears have a 14:1 gearing ratio and have small chrome buttons. When mounting, they require a hole that is 3/8" in diameter. Each peg will securely mount to your instrument (requires a 5/16" hole and a minimum sidewall thickness of 7/16") and provides its own friction surfaces so you don't need to rely on friction against wood.
